The water tower at the Wolsztyn railway station was built in 1906-07. It was intended for quick and constant filling of steam locomotive tenders with water through winch filling stations, located at the depot and line access points in the station area. During the construction of the tower, the standard project of the water supply tower of the railway station, patented by the engineer Oto Inze, was used. Towers of this type are a common phenomenon even in present-day European and Polish railway junctions. Now this tower has survived and is preserved only as a monument of technical architecture, since the need to fill tenders with water disappeared along with steam locomotives.
The model we offer you to make is not complicated, but requires care and attention. By the way, even a beginner, who has tasted a little paper modeling, can glue it together without any help from more experienced colleagues, you just need to take your time and use all your reserves of diligence, patience and attention. The model can be made as a model of a separate building or incorporated into a railway diorama.
