Malbork Castle is the largest brick castle in the world, built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order. At first, the fortress, which did not stand out in any way, over time turned into the central political-administrative castle of the Order in Prussia. Therefore, the castle is being rebuilt and already in 1350 it consists of three parts and is the largest fortress in medieval Europe. During the Thirteen Years' War between Poland and the Teutonic Knights, the castle was occupied by King Kazimierz Jagielonczyk. For about 300 years, the castle belonged to the Polish rulers. Around 1600, Zygimund III rebuilt it in the Renaissance style. In 1772, during the I division of the TNR, Maldork fell to Prussia. At the same time uncontrolled destruction of the castle began, the fortress was turned into barracks, later - stables, warehouses. At the end of World War II, almost 50 percent of the castle was destroyed. After the war it was decided to rebuild the castle and return it to its former grandeur and beauty. The reconstructed castle attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world, is the venue for many cultural events, holds conferences, scientific meetings, films are shot here...
Quite a complex model, but not so that it could not be completed by an advanced beginner under the supervision of a more experienced modeler. Well, an experienced modeler with two or more magazines can make this model almost as majestic, as the original itself.
