The first mentions of the settlement on the site of the current city of Jelcz - Laskowice in Poland in written sources reach us from the beginning of the 13th century. The name Jelcz is derived from the name of a fish, that lived in the rivers of this region, which later disappeared due to increased water pollution, and the second part of the name - Laskowice - is derived from the wild marten (pol. - laska), which was the coat of arms of the Slowian family, that lived here for a long time, but can also be from the Polish name of the forests, that grew here - las. Since the 14th century, the Laskowice lands have been owned by the Pretficz family, who in the 17th century transferred their estates to the wealthy Sauerman family of Jelcz for debts. The palace was built on the site of the modern building in 1557. In 1797 they became the main palace of the von Sauermann family. It was a brick rectangular neoclassical building with a central ridge and two cylindrical towers. In 1737 a park was established on an area of 6 hectares, where many exotic species of trees and shrubs were planted. The new eclectic-style palace was built in 1829-1830, rebuilt in 1886, and has preserved this appearance until now. After World War II a craft school with a boarding school was established here, since 1956 - a branch of the Institute of Cultivation, Fertilization and Soil Science, whose headquarters was in Pulawy. Now in the restored palace housed the City Council and the Jelcz-Laskowice gmina municipality.

A large, well-designed, detailed model of a beautiful palace for intermediate and advanced modelers. Modelers with little experience are advised to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Everything can be overcome and done, if you take your time, work patiently, carefully and precisely. The most complex thing in this model is the decoration and complex roofs of the towers.
