Charles Bridge (Czech: Karlův most) is a famous historical bridge in Prague, built over the Vltava River. Construction began in 1357 under the leadership of King Charles IV, completed at the beginning 15th century. In 1963 the bridge was decorated with baroque sculptures of kings and saints, that depict Czech history. The bridge is decorated with sculptures, depicting biblical figures and saints, most of which were built between 1683 and 1714. One of the most famous is Statue of St. John of Nepomuceno, patron saint of the Czech Republic. Nepomuceno was thrown from a bridge for disobeying the king and later canonized. Since 1965 all the sculptures were gradually replaced by their replicas, and the originals were transferred to the national museum.
Long, but not wide and not very tall, a simple, but good-looking and well-designed bridge model for modellers of all experience. Even modellers with little experience will perfectly glue it on their own, without any help from more experienced colleagues. But working in a company is more fun and easier. It is true, that a not very informative graphic instruction can cause problems.
