The Town Hall of Poznań (Greater Poland Voivodeship) is located on the Old Market Square and was probably built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, as the first mentions of it in documents appear around 1310. The Town Hall was then a relatively small square-plan building in the Gothic style. In the 15th century Poznań Town Hall was expanded, and at the beginning of the 16th century, its interior was rebuilt and modernized. However, in 1536 a major fire broke out in Poznań, destroying a large part of the city's buildings, including most of the Town Hall. Then it was decided to rebuild the Town Hall, but in the Renaissance style. The work was entrusted to the Italian architect Giovanni Battista di Quadro, who significantly changed the appearance of the building in 1550-1560. He added one story, an attic and a three-story loggia. In 1551 along with the famous Poznań goats, a clock appeared. This is how one of the most beautiful Renaissance-style buildings in Polish cities was built. In the 17th century, the Town Hall tower was destroyed at least once, but was rebuilt in the same century. In the 1880s the Town Hall was thoroughly renovated. Just before the outbreak of the First World War, another major renovation was carried out, when the Renaissance poly-chromes were unfortunately destroyed. In 1945 during the fighting for the city of Poznań, the Town Hall was badly damaged, its tower was almost completely destroyed. However, in 1945-1954 extensive reconstruction work was carried out, as well as the appearance of a strictly Renaissance style was restored. In 1992-2002 the Town Hall was renovated once again, mainly enriched with external poly-chromes, created in the 16th century. Interestingly, the object currently belongs not to the Poznań Town Hall, but to the Poznań National Museum.

A model of medium size, medium complexity, medium experience, but certainly not of medium beauty. It's not just for beginner modelers, but advanced beginners and less experienced modelers, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, will find this model to stick together without too much trouble. The more experienced can make this model from two magazines and based on photos of the original to match the real building almost 100 percent. The textual instruction is small, but quite detailed, the graphic is good, depicting the gluing place of almost every detail.
