The most famous theater in Pardubice - the East Czech Theater - is considered the city's business card. It was founded in the 20th century at the beginning and is the oldest building of this purpose in the city. The building of the modern style building began in 1907 and was completed in 1909. The first performance took place on December 11, 1909. The local audience welcomed the new theater and appreciated the abundant facade and interior decor. The architect of the East Czech Theater was Antonijs Blašanek. The sculpture, that decorates the main facade, was created by the famous sculptor Bogumil Kafka, the same one, who created the Žižka monument in Prague. Attentive spectators, who came to the performance and ordinary curious tourists will definitely pay attention to the great mosaic, that decorates the wall of the East Czech Theater. It has survived from the moment the building was built and has not been damaged by the storms of time. The theater was managed by the talented playwright and organizer Antoš Fride. He was in favor of staging only dramas in the theater, but time showed, that the repertoire should be diversified with operas and operettas. The post of theater director has always been occupied by talented, ambitious people, who perfectly understood the audience of their time and could make the theater program as the audience liked and expected. In 1934 the theater was already the best in Pardubice. It has since been renamed the Eastern National Theatre. In 1931 the building was destroyed by fire, but it was completely rebuilt and opened to the public. Recently, the building has been restored once again. The modern theater repertoire is very diverse and includes all theater genres.

Not very complicated, colorful, well-designed, a large model, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, will be perfectly glued even by a novice modeler with little experience. It won't be easy. More complex and simpler assembly options are provided.
