The bridge was designed by the British engineer U. Clark in 1839 at the initiative of Count Sechenja. The building was led by Scotsman Adam Clark. The bridge was a much larger version of the earlier Marlow Bridge over the Thames in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Great Britain, built by U. Clarke. In 1849, during the Hungarian War of Independence, Austrian soldiers tried to blow up the bridge, but Clark saved it by flooding the chain chambers. The bridge was opened in 1849 and became the first bridge in the Hungarian capital. At that time it was one of the largest bridges in the world (the length of the central part is 202 meters). The lions of sculptor J. Marshalka's work on the side pedestals of each entrance appeared in 1852. The current name of the bridge appeared in 1899. The steel structure of the bridge was completely reconstructed and strengthened in 1914. During the storming of Budapest, the bridge was blown up by the retreating Germans and had to be rebuilt. Reconstruction works were completed in 1949. Traffic on the bridge resumed on November 20, 1949, exactly 100 years after its first opening. The decorations of the bridge are cast from cast iron. In 2001 Hungarian pilot Peter Besheney flew a plane under a bridge in a circle, and this stunt became standard in "Red Bull" aviation competitions.

A medium-complexity, medium-detailed model for intermediate modelers, but this model, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, can be perfectly assembled by modelers with little experience. And for the experienced, having two magazines, can make an architectural masterpiece.
