The gate was built around the first half of the 14th century, its highest part was already built in the 16th century. The first rows of defensive walls, that have survived to this day were built in the 14th century. The gate, accidentally preserved by the Germans, when the city expanded in the 19th century, was badly damaged in the last days of World War II in 1945, when the Soviet Army occupied Oles and burned the entire old town. In 1950, during the last conservation, the tower was covered with a roof ,typical of the then Silesia Gothic.
An uncomplicated, small, well-designed and detailed model, that will suit almost any experience modeler, but a novice modeler should be glue this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
