The Trnava Water Tower is a monument of modern architectural technique. Together with the Trnava Mill in Suchovská cesta, it is one of the best-rated works of the architect Emil Bellusz. Since 2011 at night it is lit up in blue and white. At 50 meters high, it is one of the landmarks of the city and is one of the highlights of the city skyline from the surrounding roads. It is not open to the public, although a group tour took place in 2010, some fifty years after the reservoir opened. The Trnava Water Company (TAVOS) even announced to the public in advance the opening of the reservoir in 2011, but eventually abandoned the plan. According to her, it turned out, that there are more dangerous factors, than expected. Several objective reasons cannot be excluded: narrow stairs, low handrails, places and sections, that are not wide enough for people to walk, exposure to electrical installations and fittings, the possibility of falling and slipping, and many others. The new management of the city of Trnava, led by the mayor Peter Broček, would like to gradually make the complex available at least for certain events.
A small, well designed and richly detailed model of a water tower, suitable for almost any experience modeler, but we do not recommend gluing it for a beginner modeler, and for less experienced modelers it should be built under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and it should not be one of the first, more complex models You build.
