Lobkovice Castle was originally a medieval fortress of the Lobkovice family, later rebuilt into a Renaissance castle, located in Lobkovice, today it is part of the town of Neratovice. The building has a one-story and four-wing trapezoidal plan, and has a pitched roof. The Renaissance part of the building has a three-story prismatic tower with a mansard roof. The castle was first mentioned in 1403, when it belonged to the Prague citizen Prokop Krukner. 1409 it was purchased by Mikuláš from Újezd, the founder of the Lobkovic family, who soon renamed the Lobkovic family. In 1445 Lobkovice passed to Mikulaš from Újezd's son Jan Popel. 1450-1451 the castle was occupied for a short time by the army of Jiri from Podebrads. Later, Albrecht Jiri from Očedělice bought the Lobković fortress. Often changing owners, in 1496 it was purchased by Beneš Sekera from Sedčice. Sekers from Sedčice rebuilt the original stone fortress into a small castle. His descendant Jan Ratibor Sekera from Sedčice in 1615 sold Lobkovice to the townsman Václav Majská from Sobišek, who a year later sold it again to Polyksena from Pernštejn, who gave the castle to her husband Zdeňko Lobkovic on his 47th birthday, and thus the castle returned to a representative of the Lobkovic family many years later. At that time, the castle became only the administrative center of the estate and the residence of officials. During the "Thirty Years" War, the castle was looted and abandoned several times. According to the masters of the Italian architect Antonio della Porta, the building was repaired and rebuilt only in 1679 under the leadership of Prince Ferdinand Augustus of Lobkowitz. In 1829 Ferdinand Josef from Lobkovice sold Lobkovice to Prague lawyer Jan Měchur (1774-1852), who rebuilt the castle again. His daughter Teresa, who in 1840 inherited the castle, was the wife of František Palacký. Palacký Castle was very fond of him and he often stayed there. In 1897 Jan Palacký, son of František Palacký, sold the castle to Duke Morić of Lobkovice. The castle belonged to the Lobkovic family until 1948, when it became state property and was managed by MNV Lobkovic. In the early 1980s, the manor was taken over by the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, which began to be transformed into a study center and library storage. After 1989 the castle was returned to the descendants of the Roudnice Lobkovic family, the current owner (2019) is Alexandre de Ridder-Lobkovic, great-grandson of the 10th Prince of Lobkovic Ferdinand Zdenek (1858).

A large, well designed and fairly richly detailed model of a large, beautiful castle, that captures the modern look of the building. Even a modeler with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, can glue the model perfectly. However, there is no rush and You will need to use all Your knowledge, diligence, patience and skills. With a second magazine, this publication can be turned into an architectural model - a masterpiece, but this will require a lot of photos, patience and effort.
