The oldest part of the sacred complex of Kosmonosi is the separately built bell tower, which stands to the north of the ambit. It was built by Domenico Agostini according to the design of the architect Francesco Caratti from Cherni in 1672-1673. The bell tower is a quadrilateral prismatic, four-story early baroque building with a truncated pyramid-shaped tin roof and a golden sun rosette at the top of the tower. The bell tower is slightly tilted to the west. Most likely, this happened due to poor foundations during building. However, it was explained, that this would offset the effects of prevailing westerly winds. There were two bells in the tower, but they were melted down for military use during World War I. In 1869 the first repair of the tower was carried out, the heavy roofing was replaced with tin and the first memorial document was placed under the dome, the author of which was the local chaplain Josef Šimon. In 1912-1913 the second repair of the tower was carried out, the rusted tin cover was replaced with a new copper one, the eaves were repaired and the second memorial document, authored by teacher Jiřina Hrdá, was deposited. In 1937 the third repair of the tower was carried out and the third commemorative document was deposited (author not specified). In 1991-1992 a major repair of the tower was carried out and the fourth memorial letter was deposited. According to superstition, when the Loretan bell tower is repaired, and commemorative documents are placed in the dome, the Czech nation is going through a difficult period of history, a kind of historical crossroads.

A simple, but well-detailed model of a large belfry, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, even a modeller with little experience will glue together, but there is no need to rush. The most complicated thing in this model (as in many models of sacred buildings) is the domed roof of the tower.
