The castle acquired its current appearance after extensive reconstruction between 1895 and 1910. The reconstruction project and plans were drawn up by Georg von Hauberiser, based on the requirements and ideas of the Grand Master of the Order, Archduke Eugenius Habsburg, who also financed the building of the entire castle from his own private funds. The castle is fully equipped and furnished. The furniture is mainly from the private collections of Archduke Eugene Habsburg (note: confiscated by the Czechoslovak state in 1918), partly from the collections of the Teutonic Order. Modern equipment was specially made for this castle. The costly and labor-intensive reconstruction was carried out with extreme historical accuracy and stylistic consistency. The reconstruction in the romantic style created a great idea of a medieval manor house, the buildings of which mix several artistic styles, especially Gothic and Renaissance. The historical and artistic value is enhanced by the many fine old works of art. The building has been modified to accommodate the planned accessibility to the public.

The model consists of a basic plan with marked places for gluing the individual buildings, individual parts of the buildings, assembly instructions and a description of the history of the castle with many photos of the model and the actual castle. The model is classified as a paper model, where the modeler glues already having some experience. However, when working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model will easily stick together even for a beginner and a modeler with little experience. This is the third edition of the paper model. Assembly instructions are available in Czech, German and English.
