Troy Castle is a large and important building in the Baroque style, built between 1679 and 1685. built by architect Jan Mathey for Count Václav Vojtech Šternberk as a summer residence. The castle was built according to the drawings of the previously designed structure by the architect G. D. Orsi. The castle is open to the public. The main building is three-winged, two-storied, the middle wing and turrets in both side wings are two-storied. The building is dominated by the front facade with a monumental staircase to the 1st floor. It was built in 1703 and contains a number of sculptures on mythological themes by Dresden sculptors Jan and Pavel Heermann. The interiors of the castle are richly decorated in early baroque style, the walls and ceilings are painted by the Dutch painter Abraham Godin, who decorated the great hall with his works. The castle consists of the castle rooms, the great hall and the castle chapel. The artistic part is the brushes of Jan Marchetti, his son František and A. Godin, they drew inspiration from the theme of ancient mythology and glorified the builders of the castle in the side rooms and in the Habsburg Great Hall. The classical baroque building was geometrically divided, it had a courtyard, a flower parterre, an orangery, a woodshed, a labyrinth of scrotum's, terraces with baroque busts and vases.
A moderately complex well-designed and richly detailed model for intermediate to advanced modelers. But, when working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this beautiful castle will be perfectly glued by both the advanced beginner and the modeler with little experience.
