The Hláska Tower is the only surviving remnant of the old fortifications of Roudnice nad Labem. The Old Town was in the area, bounded by the current Jan z Dražice Square and Poděbradova Street. It was originally surrounded by a wooden wall, a brick wall with a city gate after 1378 built by the instructions of Archbishop Jan Očko of Vlašim. As part of the fortifications, a Gothic lookout and watchtower, today called the Hláska Tower, was built on the higher ground. The city walls and fortifications were not taken or destroyed until the second half of the 17th century, except in 1665, when the tower itself was almost completely destroyed by a large city fire. In the 18th century it was reconstructed and adapted to a new purpose. The fountain reservoir of the Horse Market was installed here, today's Hus Square was formed around the tower, and a city observation deck was installed in the tower gallery.

A simple, small, but well-designed and maximally detailed model of a defensive tower, perfect for even beginner modelers. They may not even need the help of a more experienced colleague when gluing this model.
