One of the most famous buildings in the Czech city Klatovy is the Black Tower, which stands next to the Old Town Hall. The tower is built in Gothic style and is 81 meters high. The building was led by the Italian architect Antonio de Sala and was built in the 16th century. Initially, the tower served as an observation post, from which to report the approach of enemies or fires. In 1853 a giant bell was installed in it, and a clock with a diameter of 2 meters was installed on the facade. Due to several fires, the building acquired a dark shade, which is why it was called the Black Tower. Now the tower is used as an observation deck for tourists - not only the entire city, but also the immediate surroundings are best seen from the upper deck. Standing next to, the Old Town Hall was built in 1557 in the Renaissance style.
A beautiful and tall model, that recreates the two main architectural landmarks of the Czech city Klatovy - not very difficult, but requiring care and attention. Therefore, beginners are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
