Kizhi Pogost Architectural Ensemble is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Church of the Incarnation of God, built in 1714, the most famous and most important building of this ensemble, it is a monument of federal significance, an object of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation. On June 6, 1714, the construction of the church altar was started. This church was built on the site of a house of worship that was burned by lightning. The names of the builders of the building are unknown. The height of the church is 37 m, its roof is built in the traditional way of Russian carpentry - without nails. Although this is a false statement, because nails were used, but not in the building itself, but only in the domes. According to the type, the sanctuary is summer, not heated. In winter there is no service. Church of the Transfiguration octagonal band. Its base consists of an octagonal logs construction - "vosmierik" - with four two-level annexes - logs construction arranged according to the countries of the world. The pentagonal extension of the altar - the altar is located on the east side. A low reflector ("narthex") was introduced from the west. On the lower "vosmierik" there are two more octagonal logs construction of smaller dimensions. The church is completed at the top by 22 domes ("heads"), placed in the corners of the annexes and "vosmierik" and having curvilinear surfaces - "barrels". The shape and size of the "heads" in the bands are different, which gives the church a kind of rhythmic appearance. The entrance to the church is made as a covered staircase on consoles. At the beginning of the 19th century, the church was covered with hewn boards, the "heads" were covered with galvanized iron. During the restoration in 1950, this cladding was removed and the so-called "pitch" and clapboard covering was restored. The sheets for the "heads" and "barrels" of the "sled" are made of aspen.

An uncomplicated, well-designed, fairly richly detailed model of a large and beautiful church for modelers of all experience. True, for advanced beginners and modelers with little experience, forming and correctly gluing many domes should be quite a problem. Here, as in all work, they would benefit greatly from the help of a more experienced colleague. Everything can be overcome and done if you take your time, work patiently, carefully and carefully.
