In 1454 Gdańsk obliged King Kazimierz Jagielonczyk to build a warehouse to store the grain, collected from the tribute. The fulfillment of the obligation took a long time and only in 1621 Jan Starkowski was appointed to lead the construction of the Royal Warehouse. The brick building is built on the island of Olowianka and, very atypically, has a long side wall along the embankment. During World War II the main walls and interior of the building were partially destroyed. The warehouse was restored in the fifties of the 20th century, and at the beginning of the 21st century, a luxury hotel was built there.
The model isn't complicated, but that doesn't mean it's ugly. It can be made even by advanced beginners, working under the supervision of a more experienced modeler. Well, experienced ones will come up with what can be improved, changed, beautified here...
