The Central Maritime Museum in Gdańsk was founded on October 1, 1960 as a branch of the Pomeranian Museum in Gdańsk in old commercial warehouses, that were repaired, restored and adapted to the needs of the museum. In 1962 at the end of the organizational period, the Maritime Department was reorganized into an independent Maritime Museum, the board of which was located in the ancient crane building of the port of Gdańsk, rebuilt after the war years. This museum also owns the ore-coal transport ship “Soldek”, which commemorates the establishment and development of shipbuilding in Poland, the frigate “Dar Pomorza”, a symbol of Polish sailing history, the Fishing Museum - section in Hell - and the Vistula Museum - section in Tszczew. In addition to “Zuraw”, the museum owns and exhibits the old, restored warehouses of the port of Gdańsk, which have their own names: "Panna" - "Lady", "Miedž" - "Cooper" and "Oliwski" - "Oliwian" and the building built by two more warehouses - " Mala Dabrowa (Little Dabrowa) and Duza Dabrawa (Big Dabrowa).
A simple, but beautiful warehouses models, that ticks even beginner modelers, but they are advised to work under the supervision of a more experienced modeler. Those experienced can squeeze a lot out of this publication. What? – we leave it to You imagination. By the way, warehouses can be built not all three together, but only two, but as separate buildings.
