The German dive bomber, the most popular under the name "Stukas", which was built by Herman Polman in 1933, competed against the "He - 118" in the competition, after several revisions and improvements, it was sent to serial production. The most popular and mass produced version was the Ju - 87B with 1200 h. p. power engine "Jumo - 211". In the spring of 1940, work on the design of version D ("Dora") began. After the relevant tests, the plane was sent to serial production and designated D - 1. Version D - 3 was adapted for strike missions, as a result of which the cabin, engine, radiators were tarnished, air brakes and sirens were dismantled. This version uses an aileron mass compensating system.
The model you will be gluing represents a Ju - 87D - 3 of 9/StG77 that fought on the Eastern Front in the winter of 1943. The model is quite complex, but not so much that, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, it cannot be glued even by a modeler with little experience. And the project itself is good both graphically and structurally. The model is painted with "rubbed" winter camouflage.
