Shipowners of the Polish White Fleet (so-called Polish river, lake and coastal passenger ship companies) bought "Kometa" type hydrofoils (HF) in the Soviet Union. They were put into operation gradually between 1967 and 1970. In 1981 (when the magazine was published), the Polish White Fleet owned 13 HF. Five of them - "Poryw", "Powiew", "Podmuch", "Pošwit" and one more - began service in the 1970s jf XXth century and swam in the Bay of Gdańsk. 8 "Komets" and "Meteors", traditionally named after women, sailed in the waters of Szczecin. The HF fleet successfully serves a number of seasonal routes in the Bay of Gdańsk and sails year-round between Szczecin and Świnoujście. Also use for recreational picnics or turistical trips from Szczecin to the German DR. Later, the White Navy grew by acquiring refurbished HF's from the USSR, and larger "Cyklon" type HF's were also purchased. I was simply not interested in, how many were purchased and what their fate was.

A simple and fairly well-designed model of a small but beautiful ship, suitable even for the novice modeler with very little experience. But it is advisable for him to work under the supervision of a more experienced modeler and not to make some details, that make the model more complicated. And such are the installation of a covered area with benches on the rear deck, the recommended replacement of painted grids on the side pseudo-decks with "real" grids. Mast rigging can be simplified, although it is not complicated. Antiquarian publication.
