The Focke-Wulf FW-190 was, next to the Messerschmitt Bf-109, one of the most widely used German fighters of World War II. Design began in 1938, the first prototype took off in June 1939. Serial fighters FW - 190A - 1 began to be supplied to units in July 1941 and immediately became a serious headache for the Allies. In total more than 20,000 copies of this plane in many versions were produced. In 1942 the Luftwaffe decided, that the FW-190 needed to be adapted to perform the functions of a strike aircraft. This is how the version FW - 190F was born, which was based on the FW - 190A – 4 version planer. The aircraft gained additional armor to protect against fire from the ground, and due to the increased weight, the armament was reduced. Version F-8 began to be supplied to units in the autumn of 1944 and was built on the basis of version A - 8 with a BMW 801D-2 engine, adapted for flights at low altitudes. At the turn of 1944/1945 Hungary bought 72 FW-190F-8s from the Third Reich, which were used in the fight against the USSR until the end of the war.
A simple, but perfectly graphically and structurally designed model, which represents the plane of the Hungarian AF 102/1 fighter-bomber division. It is intended for modelers of all experience, so a version without a cockpit interior and with an included chassis is provided, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, will perfectly stick even a beginner and modeler with little experience.
