A minesweeper is a special purpose vessel, whose task is to search for, detect and destroy sea mines and to guide military and civilian ships through minefields. They are a key component of de-mining forces. According to the purpose, seaworthiness and armament, minesweepers are divided into sea, base, raid and river minesweepers. The main armament of the minesweepers themselves is various types of trawls - contact trawls (these are usually strong chains to which many knives are attached and at the end there are paravans, with the help of these trawls cut anchor mines, they rise to the surface and are destroyed by artillery fire), acoustic (intended to detonate mines with acoustic stimuli , simulating the acoustic sounds of the passage of a large ship), electromagnetic (similar to acoustic, simulating the target's electromagnetic radiation). The Polish Navy also has a number of base trawlers, designed to clear the waters of  bases, harbors and sailing traces from mines, laid by the enemy.

We offer You to make a medium-size, moderately designed and moderately detailed "manual" design model of one such trawler - TRB-617. The model are intended for modelers of any experience, only less experienced ones are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The graphic instructions are small and not very detailed, text - excellent. Antiquarian publication.
