The A-10 was built by the US company "Fairchild" in the early seventies of the 20th century. A total of 716 units were produced between 1972 and 1984. Besides the main official name of "Thunderbolt II", it is also known as "Warthog". The A-10 is a ground attack and tactical support aircraft. A large amount of weapons and radio-electronic combat equipment can be flown at the same time. Permanent armament consists of a 7-barreled rotary 30 mm cannon "GAU-8" "Avenger". Two rotation speeds allow for a theoretical rapid fire rate of 2100 or 4200 rounds per minute - shells with depleted uranium heads penetrate any armor. Suspended armament for mounting on 3 under-hull and 8 under-wing pylons and consists of conventional, cassette, chemical bombs, "Maverick" missiles, laser or TV-guided bombs. It is possible to hang additional fuel tanks and containers of radio-electronic combat equipment. A container with a laser irradiation device "Pave Penny" serves for marking targets. The cabin is protected by titanium armor plates, that withstand the impact of 23 mm caliber ammunition. The A-10 was widely used in the "Desert Storm" operation in the Persian Gulf. Working in groups with "Apache" helicopters, they successfully destroyed Iraqi armored vehicles.

A complex and well-designed, richly detailed model for intermediate to advanced modelers. He recreates an aircraft of the 47th Tactical Fighter Division, based at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana with European One camouflage. In the model the cabin equipment, chassis are well detailed, but the niches of the chassis are almost without details, some detailing of the engines, good detailing of the exterior, the control plates are designed together with the main plates. The hanging armament and additional fuel tanks are provided only as drawings and must be made by Yourself. Antiquarian publication.
