After World War II, the USSR removed a large amount of production equipment, documentation, and other military booty from its occupied German territories. These included equipment and documentation from the “Opel” plant in Rüsselsheim. And when it was decided in the USSR that the 1938 model of the Opel “Kadett” had been chosen to copy the serial Soviet car, everything related to that model was taken from the Moscow small car factory, and in December 1946 the first „Moskvich-400” car. All that was changed, was that there were 4 doors instead of 2. Therefore, the publication emphasizes the possibility of producing a 1938 Opel “Kadett”.
The assembling of the model is not easy due to the many double-bending details, which are difficult to form and glue correctly. The matter is greatly complicated by the completely reckless order of assembly and the absence of marking of gluing points on some parts. The details to be painted on both sides are printed on both sides. Antiquarian edition.
