This model represents the “BMW M3 GTR” of the “BMW Motorsport” team, that competed in the “12 Hours of Sebring” in 2001. Jose J. J. Lechto and Jorg Muller finished 10th overall and 3rd in the GT class. In the GT class they only passed two “Porsche 996 GT3-RS” cars ahead. In 12 hours 2 min. and 26 sec. this crew covered 324 laps, and on lap 32 their time was 2 min. 06, 682 sec. and was the best throughout the race.
The model is intended for modelers of any experience, only advanced beginners and low-experience modelers are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and it cannot be one of the first models of higher complexity.
