Anti-aircraft device M - 163 "Vulcan" is made on the basis of the armored transporter M - 113, manufactured in the factories of the American company "FMG Corporation" in California since 1960. The body of the machine is made of aluminum alloy, the thickness of which varies between 12 and 44 mm. The self-propelled anti-aircraft machine M - 163 "Vulcan" has an open rotating turret, installed in the hull with a target detection and tracking radar system and a rapid fire six-barrel (up to 6000 shots per minute) 20 mm rotary cannon. Several countries have used and still use these devices: Chile, Ecuador, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, USA (no longer in use), Israel (no longer in use) and Portugal (no longer in use).
