„Renault“ UE – the German jet grenade launcher

The Renault UE was a very popular armored vehicle of the French army during the interwar period. The tankette began its career in the early thirties of the 20th century, when France began to modernize its army. The tender for universal transporter for cargo transportation was won by the company "Renault". Until 1940, when Germany occupied France, several thousand tankettes were produced for many different tasks. They were later accepted into the armament of the Wehrmacht. During combat operations on various fronts, they underwent numerous modernization's. One of them was a Renault UE with a jet grenade launcher, often used in battles in North Africa and the Eastern Front.
