The Zlin - 526AFS comes from a famous line of Czechoslovakian sports aircraft, manufactured since 1935 at the "ZLIN" factory in Moravan Otrokovice. Zlin - 526 "Trainer Master", produced in 1964, became the immediate prototype. It was a two-seater trainer training aircraft of metal construction with retractable landing gear. In 1969, after replacing the engine with a new M - 337, the production of the "Zlin - 526F" version began, from which - after eliminating the front cockpit and reducing the weight of the plane - the aerobatic "Zlin 526AF" was produced in 1970. In 1971, the Zlin - 526AFS or "Akrobat Special" version was introduced, using a new shorter trapezoidal wing and removing the panels. This plane was popular in aero clubs in many states at the end of the last century. But even now they are still flown in many places. They are also used by the Polish acrobatic group "Želazny".

The model of the airplane, painted in the colors of this group, is offered for You to make from this publication. An uncomplicated, well-designed and moderately detailed model, suitable for a modeler of almost any experience, only beginners are better off sticking it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not as one of their first more complex models. Antiquarian publication.
