The Sopwith “Pup” was built in the early 1916s by order of the British Admiralty, which at the time was looking for innovative machines to arm RNAS (Royal Navy Air Service) squadrons. It turned out to be a very good fighter with good flight characteristics, maneuverability. Therefore, the pilots, who flew this plane, were very fond of it. In 1917, the “Pup” was used extensively in take-off and landing on a ship deck tests. On August 2, 1917, Captain Edwin Duning landed for the first time on a specially equipped HMS “Furious” deck.
A simple, well-detailed and well-designed model, suitable for modelers of any experience, only beginners are better off assembling it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
