The Nakajima B5N was a major bomber - torpedo plane, which was the mainstay of the Japanese aircraft carrier strike fleet in the initial phase of World War II in the Pacific War zone. This type of aircraft took part in almost all air-naval battles in the region. On December 7, 1941, 143 B5N aircraft were involved in the attack on the American naval base in Pearl Harbor: 40 of them were armed with torpedoes and the rest with aviation bombs. Their victims (along with the D3A Val bombers) were 21 US warships (12 sunk, 9 seriously damaged). From the beginning of 1943, the B5N began to be withdrawn from aircraft carriers and relocated to ground bases. The B5N Kate was extremely vibrant and resilient, causing many of these machines to end their war in the Pacific. Their biggest drawback was the weak defensive armament, but it was compensated by the abundant escort of mission fighters.
The medium-complexity bomber-torpedo aircraft model is a well-designed and richly detailed. He recovers an aircraft from aircraft carrier “Soryu”, that was involved in the attack on Pearl Harbor. The model details everything, that is possible, but at the same time, it is not very complicated, so it can be assembled even by a slightly experienced modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. You can choose a more complex and simpler option. Antiquarian publication.
