“Skyraider” began designing as part of World War II as a shift for the “Dountless” bombers, but was completed too late to take part in the war. The prototype first flight took in March 1945. But he had to smell the gunpowder - it was one of the best Korean warplanes. The heavy weight of it carrying armament and the ability to continue the flight for up to 10 hours were far more valuable features, than short-range jet fighter flights. The 15 suspension points allowed for the use of more diverse weapons at the same time, making the aircraft suitable for multiple tasks in a single flight. From 1947 to 1957, 3,180 aircraft of this type were manufactured. It was also used during the Vietnam War.
Beautiful, sophisticated, well-detailed and well-designed model for intermediate and experienced modelers. Antiquarian publication.
