Su-27 (NATO code - "Flanker") - supersonic, twin-engine, jet, heavy fighter. Began production in the Soviet Union as a response to the US-made F-14 “Tomcat”, F-15 “Eagle”, F-16 “Fighting Falcon” and F/A-18 “Hornet”. The Su-27 is one of the main aircraft of the Russian, Indian and Chinese air forces, which entered service around 1990. Designed and implemented in the Sukhoi constructors' office, constructor Mikhail Simonov. Su-27UB is a training-combat fighter. Around 1960 several nations have begun developing fourth-generation fighters. At that time the fighter, code named T-10, started to be developed at the Sukhoi Design Bureau, no longer met the requirements of that time. In 1969, after analyzing the characteristics of the US fighter F-15 "Eagle", Soviet engineers continued to improve the T-10. For the first time the Su-27 prototype took to the air only in 1977, and during one of the tests the pilot Yevgenij Solovyov, piloting the T-10-2 model, was killed, when he was unable to control the fighter. After structural, mechanical and technical changes, the T-10S-1 model was created. The characteristics and maneuverability of the aircraft corresponded to the set goals. During one of the tests of the fighter, during which the maximum capabilities of the aircraft were tested, the pilot-cosmonaut Alexander Komarov was killed. In 1990 August 23 according to the signed decree of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union, the fighter was officially put into service in the AF of the USSR. Interceptor fighters (for destroying air targets) and strike fighters (for air and ground targets) were produced, but after some time due to the imperfection of the equipment, the latter strike fighter’s version was abandoned.

A large, rather complex model with complex fuselage and engine shapes, with almost minimalistic cockpit detailing, requires care and attention to detail, and cannot be rushed. The chassis is decently restored, but its niches are almost without details, there is an outboard armament (and quite a lot).Antiquarian publication.
