This sailing ship is one of the most famous, that ever sailed the oceans. It became so, because of its turbulent history, which ended with a mutiny of sailors and the capture of the ship. This event is widely described in literature, and even three feature films have been made, recreating the events on this ship and the Pacific islands, associated with it. The ship itself was a typical 18th century three-masted cargo or light warship. The ship's stern was rebuilt for the purpose of the voyage, which was to bring breadfruit seedlings from Tahiti to Great Britain. This rebuilding had fatal consequences for the ship, as it worsened the already not-so-best living conditions of the crew. The ship is armed with 4 cannons and 10 falconets, the underwater part is covered with copper tin sheets. William Blight, a despotic and hot-tempered officer, was appointed captain. The journey began on December 27, 1787. All the way, the ship was accompanied by harsh weather conditions, the crew had to fight against strong winds, changing currents, even blizzards, which worsened the living conditions of the sailors. The ship arrived in Tahiti on October 23, 1788. After loading breadfruit seedlings, which required constant care and watering, the crew's consumption of drinking water was severely limited. All these conditions and the cruel behavior of the captain led to a mutiny by the crew, led by the first officer Christian Fletcher. The captain and the rest of his loyal crew were put into a boat and launched into the ocean. They managed to reach land; the fate of the mutinous crew is not known for sure.

The model is well-designed and well-detailed, and it is not easy, so we might not recommend it for beginners and less experienced modelers, although, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, at least an advanced beginner can overcome it. Antiquarian publication.
