In 1934, thanks to the work, done by the company Westland Aircraft Ltd from Jovili, two years later, a prototype of a communication support, reconnaissance and transport plane for spies and saboteurs was built. On June 15, 1936, he took to the air for the first time. After the successful testing of the second prototype, serial production of the plane was started. He is given the name "Lysander". This plane was not suitable for offensive actions, but it perfectly performed auxiliary functions - rescuing pilots of downed planes, reconnaissance of enemy anti-aircraft defenses, etc. Most famous for performing special tasks. They often flew over the occupied territory of France, flying there agents, explosives, weapons, medicine and other supplies for the partisans. In 1941 - 1944 these planes made over 400 such flights and passed the existential test - they could take off and land on small and poorly prepared sites. A total of 3,300 of these planes were produced. The "Lysander" was a metal structure, covered in cloth. Armament consisted of one machine gun in the rear cabin, some of their wheel covers were equipped with one machine gun each, could take 16 pieces of 10 kg bombs. The 309th Fighter-Reconnaissance Division was armed with these planes. In it, Polish pilots fought with the Germans as part of the RAF.

The L-XT N1294 model of the 225 RAF Division aircraft can be made from the details of the publication. The model is of medium complexity, interesting, with quite excellent detailing of the interior of the cabins. Recommended for modelers of all experience, only advanced beginners and less experienced modelers are advised to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague - it will not only be easier, but also more fun. The fairly complicated installation of the wing to the openwork glass cockpit will prevent this model from being built by novice modelers. Antiquarian publication.
