Su-17 (and its export versions Su-20 and Su-22), NATO code "Fitter" - single-seat fighter - bomber with a wing, located in the middle of the fuselage, the geometry of which can be changed - the yaw angle varies from +28° to +68°, metal construction, semi-monocoque, landing gear with nose wheel, retractable in flight, air-tight cockpit with ejectable pilot's seat. Designed by Pavel Sukhoi’s design bureau, manufactured in the USSR. He started his service in 1970. However, it is now only used in 5 countries: Poland (maybe all written off), Angola, Syria, Vietnam and Yemen. 2867 units were produced, which served in the AF of 28 countries around the world.
