The prototype of the light floating tank "T-38" was completed in 1936. The team of designers was headed by N. Kozyrev, a member of N. Astrov's Design Bureau of Moscow Factory No. 37. The “T-38” was an improved version of the floating tank “T-37”. In 1937 the tank was accepted into the arsenal of the Red Army, until 1939 more than 1300 units were produced. Two main versions were produced: "T-38" and "T-38M2", which differed in the type of engine and transmission, which was "borrowed" from the trucks "GAZ AA" and "GAZ M1". Some of the tanks were re-armed even before the German attack, installing a 20 mm caliber "ShWAK" cannon in the modernized tower, next to the machine gun.
A simple, well designed and detailed model with no interior detailization and a simplified chassis. It is perfect even for modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Antiquarian publication.
