Sopwith “Triplane” - British RAF World War I fighter - triplane. The aircraft were successfully used from early 1917 until they were superseded in late 1917 by the newer and more advanced Sopwith “Camel” fighters. The “Triplane” was later used mostly for pilot training. The Sopwith "Camel Scout" (commonly abbreviated to Sopwith "Camel") was a biplane fighter aircraft, used by the British RAF during World War I. Both planes were designed and manufactured by the “Sopwith Aviation Company”.
