In 1939, the Doszwiadczalne Warsztaty Lotnicze (DWL) in Warsaw responded to the order of the State Air Defense League. They are equipped a two-seater training aerobatic aircraft RWD-17. The design of the aircraft was performed by Bronislaw Zhurakowsky. The prototype, marked SP-BMX, was tested in the air at Okencio Airport by pilot Eugeniusz Przysiecki in 1937. From March to November 1938, a small series of 10 of these planes was produced for aeroclubs and the Swidnik pilot school. They were used for pilot acrobatic flight training and had excellent flight characteristics. A seaplane version of this aircraft, the RWD-17W, was also built in 1938, with metal buoys and a Bramo star-form engine. In 1939, at the btgining jf IIWW, several surviving specimens of RWD-17 were evacuated to Romania, where they were used by Romanian aviation in the war and in the first years after the war to train pilots.

A simple, well-designed and quite richly detailed model of a training airplane, which will be perfectly assembled by a modeler of any experience. Only beginners and inexperienced modelers should have a colleague around, who can advise in difficult moments. Antiquarian publication.
