KOR-1 (Be-2) is a deck catapult floating hydroplane (marine reconnaissance aircraft), which was launched in 1936, created by the Design Office, headed by G. M. Beriev. It did not pass state tests, but due to a lack of alternatives, production on G. Dimitrov's Aviation Factory No. 31 was started in a small series of 12 units and served from 1939 to 1940. The KOR-1 was a single-buoy biplane with an M-25A engine. The main construction is metal, covered with cloth. The wings are folded. Armament - two stationary ShKAS machine guns for the pilot and one rotating ShKAS for the shooter. The overload variant could carry two FAB-100 bombs. The first 12-minute flight was conducted on September 4, 1936, by pilot A. P. Noman. Despite the advantages of the flight over its predecessor KR-1 (manufactured under license), floating in the water revealed serious stability problems (the design of a single buoy proved to be inferior to that of a flying boat), as well as engine cooling problems. KOR-1 did not pass state tests. However, due to a lack of ready-made alternative projects, KOR-1 was produced in small series (only 12 scouts were produced) and was upgraded during operation period.

A small, uncomplicated, well-designed, and moderately detailed model for modelers of any experience. There is not even much detail in the cabs. Inexperienced modelers are encouraged to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and do the model without cab equipment. Antiquarian publication.
