In 1937 a group of engineers from the Design bureau of the Kirov factory in Leningrad, led by engineers Kotin and Duchov, began designing the multi-turret heavy tanks T-100 and SMK. Their tests showed the inaccuracy of placing weapons in several towers, which led to the construction of another heavy tank prototype, only this time with one tower, on Kotin's initiative. Presented to the military authorities of the USSR, it was quickly directed to serial production, which began in December 1939. The tank was given the designation "KV" - Klim Voroshilov. These tanks were produced until 1943 in several versions: KV-1 with a 76.2 mm cannon, KV-2 with a 152 mm howitzer, KV-8 with a flamethrower and KV-85 with an 85 mm cannon. In 1942 the production of the improved version of the KV-1S tanks began, and in 1943 the KV-85 machines appeared. During the entire war, the USSR industry produced about 10,000 KV tanks of all versions. Polish Army units received a small number of KV-1 tanks, which were later replaced by IS tanks. In 1944 - 1946 KV tanks were still in the arsenal of training regiments, where they were used for driving and other training.

A model of medium complexity, well detailed, requiring care and attention, for modelers of any experience, beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to glue this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and it should not be one of the first more complex models, You glue. The model reproduces only the exterior details of the chassis and the tank exterior. The model represents a machine KV-1 from one of the training regiments of Wojsko Polskie in 1946. Antique publication.
