Beriev's flying boat “Be-4” was a very innovative construction aircraft for its time and was among the best representatives of its class in the world according to its tactical and technical characteristics. This aircraft, built in 1939-1941, was part of the aviation armament of heavy cruisers of the USSR and served as a reconnaissance and rescue aircraft in the naval bases of the USSR. At the end of the war it was successfully used to destroy German submarines in the Barents, Black and Baltic seas. Due to their exceptional characteristics, these planes were used long after the war.
The model is not one of the light ones due to its complex shapes, it is well designed, without internal equipment. It will be perfectly glued by a modeler of any experience, only beginners and less experienced modelers are recommended to glue the model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
