Small hunters of submarines of project 12412 (code "Molnija - 2") are designed at the Central Bureau of Naval Construction "Almaz" under the leadership of E. I. Yuchin at the base of missile cutter "Molnija" of project 1241. These ships were intended for anti-submarine warfare in enclosed seas (such as the Baltic and Black) and for the protection of the water area. In the period from 1980 to 1988, 36 small submarine hunters of several modifications of project 12412 were built for the USSR Navy at the Yaroslavl and Vladivostok shipyards. At least 20 ships were included in the composition of the Naval Units of the KGB of the USSR. 8 boats, built according to project 1241PE (with “Pozitiv-E” radar station instead of RLS "Reid" and without radio-electronic warfare complex "Vimpel - R2") were intended for foreign customers. But only 5 of them were sold abroad. One boat was not completed, and the remaining two were handed over to the maritime units of the Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation.

Highly detailed models with a large amount of small details and assemblies for intermediate to advanced modelers. Double-sided printing is used, where necessary. Two complete models can be assembled from the publication: the Ukrainian Border Service ship "Grigoriy Kuropiatnikov" and the Russian patrol ship "Minsk".
