“Ziemia Szczecinska” was the first vessel of the “Lands” series, commissioned by “Polska Zegluga Morska” (Polish Maritime). Four dry cargo carriers of this series - "Ziemia Szczecinska", "Ziemia Gdanska", "Ziemia Lubuska" and "Ziemia Wielkopolska" - were built at the Italian Trieste shipyard (1965-66), two more - "Ziemia Bydgoska" and "Ziemia Mazowiecka" - in England in 1967. Ships, built in England, differed from those, built in Italy, in terms of technical characteristics and architecture. “Ziemia Szczecinska” was the first PZM ship to circumnavigate the globe. This trip started in April 1966 and ended in May 1967.
A large, well-designed and richly detailed model of a dry cargo ship, intended for intermediate and advanced modelers only. It is possible to make a model with open cargo holds and movable cargo hatch covers.
