"Bditelnyj" class patrol boats (or "Burevestniks" ("Stormbirds"), as they are also called by the code name of the project) occupy a special place in the history of the Soviet and Russian Navy. Strikingly different from its predecessors not only in a fast and graceful silhouette, but also in fundamentally different weapon systems and detection means, an advanced energy device and a high level of automation. As milestone ships in their class, these ships have taken long-range submarine detection, interception and defense against them to a qualitatively new level. Overall, their successful construction ensured their long active service in all sea and ocean theaters; their possibilities have not been exhausted to this day. It is enough to give an eloquent example: the latest "Talvar"-class frigates of the Indian Navy, rightfully considered one of the most advanced in the world, basically represent a deep modernization of the same "Burevestnik", which was created by Soviet engineers more than three decades ago. The tactical and technical task (TTT) for the development of project 1135 was issued by the navy in 1964. The main purpose of a patrol ships is long-term patrolling to search for and destroy enemy submarines and to protect military and civilian ships at sea. Initially, TTT envisaged the following armament: one anti-submarine missile system, one five-barreled 533 mm TA for anti-submarine torpedoes, two RBU-6000, one air defense system "Osa" and two twin-barreled 76 mm artillery turrets. The "Titan" (MG-332) sonar system is believed to be the primary means of detecting submarines. Water capacity was limited to 2,100 tons, but with the final approval of the "Metel" complex as a PLRK, it was to be increased to 3,200 tons. In turn, this allowed two more torpedo aparats and two air defense systems to be installed on the ship, as well as to complement the hydroacoustic means of the towed sonar "Vega" (MG-325). In addition, the possibility of replacing 76 mm artillery with 100 mm was discussed already at the design stage. For the first time ships of this class were to be equipped with an automated combat information post (CIP), a prototype of future combat information and control systems; the lead ship even had a staff of computer officers. In general, "Burevestnik" was so far ahead of other ships of its class both in size and capabilities, that it was already reclassified as a large patrol ship at the design stage. Project 1135 ships were returned to the class of medium patrol ships only in June 1977. The keel of PS "Deyatelnyj" was laid in June 21 1972 in the stack of the "Zaliv" factory in Kerch, lowered into the water on April 5 1975, began service in the Black Sea Fleet in February 19 1976. The ship served in the Black and Mediterranean seas, visited the ports of Tunisia, Libya, Bulgaria and other countries. In 1978 and 1988 he won the prizes of the USSR Navy Main Command prizes for anti-submarine warfare training.

A large, well designed and richly detailed model of a beautiful warship for intermediate and advanced modellers. Where necessary, double-sided printing is used, screws and some details are printed with bronze metallic paint, there is a large stock of colors, a considerable but somewhat non-contrasting rendering-type drawings, graphic assembly instructions, textual instructions of medium size and only supplementing the graphics - Russian, Polish, English and German languages.
