IJN "Ryūjō" (Japanese 龍驤) - the light aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Initially it had very mediocre seaworthiness, and two major modernization's were required to correct the situation. During the first months of fighting in the Pacific during World War II it was used in minor operations. "Ryūjō" was part of a group of ships, that covered the landing of Japanese troops in the Philippines in December 1941, and then in the Dutch East Indies in February 1942. In April 1942 the ship became a part of the Japanese raiding group of Admiral Ozawa, which carried out a raid in the Indian Ocean .Participated in the operation off Midway Island and was sunk on August 24, 1942 during the battle of the Eastern Solomon Islands by aircraft from the American aircraft carrier "Saratoga".
A large, well designed and highly detailed model for intermediate to advanced modelers. Where are required, details or even full sheets of details are printed with double-sided printing, there is a considerable stock of colors. A lot of azure details, so there will be a lot of cutting. Only the aviation group is a bit poor - only 9 planes of two types (while the entire aviation group consisted of 48 planes). There are no text instructions, the graphics instructions are just great.
