The destroyer "Aaron Ward" (DD-483) - an American "Gleaves"-class destroyer. Laid down at "Federal Shipbuilding" shipyard in Kearny, New Jersey on February 11, 1941. Launched November 22, 1941, entered service March 4, 1942. Commander Orville F. Gregor was appointed captain of the ship. On April 7, 1943 it was severely damaged by Japanese D3A dive bombers near the island of Guadalcanal. Later sank, while being towed to Tulagi. Expelled from the US Navy on May 19, 1943. "Aaron Ward" received 4 service stars for his actions in World War II.
A well-designed and richly detailed model of a medium warship for intermediate and advanced modelers. The model is in a very interesting spotted camouflage, with which the ship was painted in 1942. Some pages are completely double-sided printing, the print quality is flawless, there is a reserve of colors. There are no text instructions, the graphics instructions are very good.
