USS "Normandy" (CG 60) is a US Navy "Ticonderoga"-class guided-missile cruiser. Currently in service, based in Norfolk. "Ticonderoga"-class missile cruisers are a type of missile cruisers in service in the US Navy. Ships of this type were the first warships of the US Navy to be equipped with the "Aegis" combat information and control system (CIUS). The lead ship of the series was ordered in 1978 as a guided missile destroyer (DDG-47), but on January 1, 1980, even before completion, it was reclassified as a guided missile cruiser (CG-47) due to its significantly higher combat capabilities. The design was based on the hull and mechanisms of a "Spruens" - class destroyer. A total of 27 "Ticonderoga"-class guided missile cruisers were built. 14 cruisers remain in service as of 2023. 11 of them - numbers CG-63 through CG-73 - were put into reserve in fiscal year 2015 to save money.

Quite a large, well detailed and well thought out model, a high level print for intermediate to advanced modelers. Several sheets of parts are fully printed on both sides, and there is quite a lot of color stock. There are no text instructions, but the graphic makes up for everything - there are as many of them as there are rarely.
