RMS "Queen Elizabeth" is a British passenger ship, a so-called transatlantic ship from the inter-war, World War II and post-war period. The keel was laid in 1936, launched in 1938. The total length of the ship is 314.2 meters, the width is 36 meters. The ship's tonnage is about 83,700 GRT, the maximum speed is about 29 knots. The ship could take no more, than 2,283 passengers on one trip. RMS "Queen Elizabeth" was commissioned by the "Cunard" shipping line at the 'John Brown and Company" shipyard in Clydebank. The ship was unique for several reasons, but most of all, it made history as the largest ocean liner ever built, and until the mid-1990s it held the title of largest passenger ship in history! The RMS "Queen Elizabeth" began its service not with civilian cruises, but with the performance of military transport tasks and the transfer of troops from the United States to Great Britain during the Second World War. Due to her high speed, the RMS "Queen Elizabeth" very often sailed without escort cover. Fortunately, he survived the Second World War and shortly after 1945 began to fulfill the tasks, for which it was built from the beginning, serving the Southampton-New York sea line. The liner was written off only in 1969.
A large, well-detailed, well-designed and good-looking liner model for intermediate to advanced modelers. There is no color stock, and who needs it, if the vast majority of parts are white or black. However, the graphic instruction could certainly be more abundant, because, what is given in the publication, is the absolute minimum.
