"Aura" - a Finnish transport ship, built in the Polish "Northern" shipyard in Gdansk. The ship is 101.3 meters long and 18.8 meters wide. The lifting capacity does not exceed 4700 DWT. The ship is powered by two Wartsilla "Vasa" 6R32 LMD engines, the power of each of which is 2991 h. p. The maximum speed of the ship does not exceed 13 knots. The unit price is about 15 million euros. "Aura" was built and delivered to the Finnish ship owners "Oy Gaimare" AB and "Meriaura Oy" in early 2008. "Aura" is designed primarily for the transportation of bulky cargo with a large mass. In practice, the vessel is mainly used to transport sections of large passenger ships to their final assembly site during building. However, the special deck design also allows transportation wood or gravel. "Aura" is adapted to sailing in ice conditions, so it can sail practically all year round in the Baltic and North Seas. The ship is equipped with a very good communication system and modern bow thrusters, which improve its maneuverability in ports.
