ORP "Burza" - the Polish destroyer

ORP "Burza" was built in 1926-1931 in the French "Blainville" shipyard. On August 10, 1932 the white-red flag was raised in the port of Cherbourg. After 9 days ORP "Burza" entered the port of Gdynia. From that time until the end of August 1939, he entered the destroyer division and, in addition to normal training and maneuvers at sea, visited foreign ports with visits: Stockholm, Leningrad, Kiel, Helsinki, Riga, Tallinn. In 1937 "Burza" represented Poland at the coronation events of the British King George VI and on August 30, 1939, together with "Grom" and "Blyskawica", she sailed to England, where she met the beginning of the Polish-German war. In England "Burza" was designated H-73 and performed patrol and convoy escort duties until April of the following year. Later participated in many military operations against the German Kriegsmarine. Among others, he participated in the Norwegian May campaign near Narvik, in the evacuation of Kale, where he shot down two planes, and in October shelled Sherbur. During convoying and patrolling, on February 28, 1943 the German submarine U-606 was sunk in the Atlantic Ocean. In the winter of 1943/1944, it was withdrawn to the reserve and served as a submarine base. In July 1951 "Burza" returned to Poland and was overhauled and modernized, re-armed as an anti-aircraft defense ship. After 9 years it was reorganized into a museum ship by order of the Ministry of People's Defense.

A moderately complex, well-designed and detailed model of the ship in the sharp-edged spot camouflage, that the ship was painted after the repairs in September-October 1942. The model has everything, that can be detailed in a 1:200 scale. There is quite a large stock of colors. The model is intended for intermediate and advanced modelers only.
